proven concept: #notOK
awareness campagne with interactive video.
Undesirable behaviour is a very sensitive topic. E-learning on this subject can quickly come across as condescending. So how do you approach this to make an impact? Our awareness concept #notOK has proven effective at a major Dutch bank.
I already think about the comments I'm about to make… Are they a funny joke, or could they make my colleague feel uncomfortable?

Awareness
In this interactive video learning, you will join Theo, who has been asked by the confidential advisors to check on undesirable behaviour in the company. Together with Theo, you’ll take a tour around the workplace, and he encounters various situations where he tries to persuade employees to engage in inappropriate conduct.
For instance, he finds himself in an elevator with two colleagues. Theo scrutinises the female colleague and attempts to coax the male colleague into flirting. What would you do in that situation? While flirting may seem like an obvious issue, that’s definitely #notOK. But what about gossiping in Teams about another colleague or putting an arm around someone because their beloved cat has passed away? Is that acceptable? How would you respond?
It becomes increasingly clear that Theo’s behaviour is completely unacceptable. Security eventually escorts him out of the building. Of course, these are “over-the-top” examples. But now it’s clear what constitutes unwanted behaviour and that it will not be tolerated in the workplace.
It happens, even with us!
In the second part of this campaign, Theo returns to the office because everyone deserves a second chance. He has been invited by the confidential advisors. Serious issues are indeed occurring within the company, and they want to make Theo aware of the impact these incidents have.
Theo sits down in a separate room with victims of inappropriate behaviour and allows them to share their stories. These are intense, vulnerable accounts, so they take their time, and the victims are shown in a way that keeps them unrecognisable to maintain their anonymity.
Theo is quite impressed by what he hears, and in an interview setting, the confidential advisors explain what you can do if you find yourself in a similar situation.
