The Creative Capital module is designed to ensure that all Boskalis employees become more aware of protecting intellectual property. Not all employees were familiar with patent regulations or knew where to seek advice. That’s why we recommended focusing on a compelling case that would cover all relevant aspects. The unique recovery dredger provided the perfect example for this.
In the concept phase, the challenge was to incorporate the complex legal information without making it dry and boring. By spotlighting a fictional recovery dredger, we made the learning material highly practical. However, the storyline also needed to be engaging and surprising to capture the attention of all Boskalis employees.
